Belia Mayeno Saavedra (she/her) serves as a Somatic coach to Black, Indigenous, people of color leaders who are growing in their felt sense of choice and power. A practitioner of Transformative Coaching & Somatic Learning, she is based in Lisjan Ohlone lands (also known as Oakland and Berkeley, California).
Belia has trained in the lineage of Oakland’s generative somatics since 2014, and was trained as a coach in the social-justice oriented Coaching for Transformation program in 2016-2017. Leveraging over two decades working directly with survivors of violence and abuse, her approach is grounded in offering trauma sensitive practices, accessing individual and collective resilience, and facilitating the liberatory experience of transformation through body and spirit.
She enjoys reading, beadwork, kicking it with her dog, and serves her LukumĂ spiritual community as a priest of Oshun Ibu Anya.
